Home2K9 started fifteen years ago in the Pacific Northwest. Today we provide personalized dog training and rehabilitation through Board & Train programs, as well as one-on-one sessions or group classes, workshops, seminars, pack walks, and our non-profit dog rescue, all located in North County San Diego in the city of Vista. We are a team, and we all work intimately to ensure your dog is well cared for, well trained, and well supported once they return home with you.
Our training methods are balanced, meaning they include both positive reinforcement as well as structure, boundaries, and tools that allow for calm, clear communication of unwanted behavior. We teach dogs both “yes,” and “no,” essential vocabulary for successfully navigating the human world, and finding calm within themselves. Due to the high volume of dogs who have come through our programs with significant behavioral issues, you will find that we have developed a training program unlike anything else around. Too many dog owners are struggling even after investing lots of time, energy, and financial resources in to training that hasn’t worked. We implement prong and e collar training tools to make training and behavior maintenance more intuitive to the average dog owner, and to reach dogs who are highly distracted, disconnected, anxious, insecure, and full of mental noise.
By understanding how the right tools work in a positive and consistent way, we implement a nice clear line of communication between you and your dog, and offer owners the simplest and most intuitive means of training wanted behaviors, and eliminating unwanted behaviors. Entrusting your dog to a training stay at Home2K9 means the world to us and we will care for them as if they are our own.
